Art Direction and Television design work are deeply embedded in the experience Nancy LeMay brings to her favorite field of Fine Art. She has received many awards including 5 Emmy’s, as well as Fine Art honors at institutions across the US. But at Aarnun we are featuring a few smaller, dramatically composed works. Each piece is done in the classic tradition — on maple panels, gessoed in venetian red, with color built up in many thinly applied layers, all burnished to a soft sheen with a wax coating that highlights her finely textured, richly detailed images. Not photo-realism, but rather miniature-impressionism…quite extraordinary!
